I can’t fully express the heartache I feel when I think about how our pets’ lives change in the time they’re with us, how they are a constant, how they are really our first loves. I know I always say things are my favorite, but turning around and seeing your pup watching the activity during newborn sessions is really my favorite. Yes, please include your pet in our session.

When I found out I was pregnant the first time, I spent an entire night on the floor in our apartment, crying and hugging my dog (9 at the time). I apologized over and over for turning her life upside down. But it so happens that we gave her two new besties who truly make up for any lacking cuddle time. 7 years later, I still get to wake up to her at my feet.
