Because every day is Mother’s Day…

I am so lucky to photograph growth. I know I say it all the time, but that’s because I feel it, so! And I am so lucky that when this mama (whom I’ve known for years now) came back to visit DC, she she asked me to photograph her daughter again, who couldn’t even sit unassisted when I met her last year.

We hung out at the studio, talked about a typical day in the life, and you know, chased a toddler around the studio and Georgetown. Heart attacks on the cobblestone because we were afraid she was going to trip… it’s fine! We’re fine.

While we’re here. Let me just say. That this girl’s mama said that she wouldn’t be in any of these portraits, that this session was mostly for baby girl. Never! Get in those photos, mom. For all the reasons. Because every day is Mother’s Day.
