100 days project
I read somewhere that a lot of growth happens when you focus on your personal work. I’m 54 days into a personal project: one photo a day for the “summer.” It’s taken me back to how my photography journey began, which was just documenting a little bit of my life. Back then it was just for fun, to keep me busy. But now… when at the end of the day I feel that I haven’t done much, I can look at these photos and completely toss negative thoughts out the window. I can smell my sleeping son’s hair again (he was in my lap, where he won’t fit much longer), I can hear my daughter’s maniacal laugh as she danced at the park, I can remember how bright the sun was when my husband was mowing the lawn. And this project is showing me progress… in my art(work), with my family, with myself.
I love you, 100 days of summer.
